Teal Pumpkin Treat Dispenser
During the height of the Pandemic, we had the odd situation of a Halloween where it was unsafe to be near others. But children still wanted to dress up and be kids. Chandler Gilbert Community College’s Engineering club issued a challenge to create something to combat this problem. I designed a method to deliver treats on the day. Many people did the same, but mine was specifically designed with the Teal Pumpkin Project in mind. Teal Pumpkins set out on halloween signify safe treats for those with food allergies. Shown in the images is the manual version of the design. An automated design was created. It used a PIR sensor to detect when treats are being requested. Then a stepper motor turned the screw and advanced the toys.
