A prototype for this project is still up coming. Pending research on the coding end of the measurement system, a prototype will be made of each system then unified.
Reverse Engineered and Improved Measuring Calipers
My final project in ECE 216: SolidWorks class was to reverse engineer a product in my household and improve it in some way. I chose to reverse engineer my measuring calipers. My calipers design has extended length jaws to allow more ease with measuring deeper objects. I also added a way to measure objects longer than the calipers themselves.
